OUR PROVIDERS

Kelly Smith is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who has spent the last 10 years caring for children with acute and chronic conditions. Prior to joining Kids First, she was a pediatric oncology nurse practitioner at Children's National in Washington, DC and an inpatient hospitalist & newborn specialist at WakeMed. Kelly obtained her B.A. in Health & Humanity at the University of Southern California before obtaining her BSN at Johns Hopkins and ultimately her MSN at Duke University. She has a passion for working with underserved communities and has done clinical trips to Honduras and Tanzania.

Outside of work, Kelly is a wife and a mom to two beautiful, sassy little girls. She also is the proud mom to a 100 lb bernedoodle named Champ. She loves going to the beach and trying the best Raleigh restaurants.
